The body of a man who died due to coronavirus was found abandoned by his family here in Sialkot city on Saturday.
According to local news outlets, the man identified as Arsalan, resident of Daska tehsil of Sialkot district had contracted coronavirus and was taken to a hospital where doctors denied him treatment.
The patient’s family was left with no option but to take him home. However, he soon passed away after which the deceased’s family thought it best to leave the body as it is and get as far away from it as they could.
Residents of the area informed the Sialkot Assistant Commissioner (AC) of the incident after which he called Rescue 1122 to shift the body and also contacted the family.
However, none of the family members reached the spot and burial arrangements were made by volunteers of a local welfare organisation.
